Echoes...

I was reminded of a time playing in Westminster Central Hall in London in the UK. The sound engineer for the night commented that we would be joining with the voices of worship that had occurred in that space over the centuries. He then went on to explain that due to the physics of how sound travels it was possible for an echo of those past worship times to still be present with us, that we would actually be joining with those voices of the past...just a thought!

Also kinda' explains why the organ always sounds slightly of tune in big cathedrals...
